A prison of my own design
Would have ten locks to a door
And bars on the windows
And a tunnel proof floor
There’d be an exercise yard
And an empty canteen
And pictures of home
And I’d obsessively clean
There’d be no guards or governors
No small offenders
No visits from home
and no tough pretenders
I’d lock them away
My honour and love
Until someone deserved them
Prisoners thereof
And I’d shut all the doors
To keep them all out
And lock up myself
Away from my doubts

This is a poem I wrote ages ago during a time in my life when I didn't feel like being myself or showing my true personality to anyone. Sometimes it's hard to be a bit of a nerd. This poem is dedicated to Gloompelt without whom I probably never would have uploaded it.
